On behalf of Building Blocks for Peace Foundation, WANEP Nigeria, Sanctuary of Hope CSDEA and other peacebuilding partners, we formally announce the call for registration for the 2020 Nigeria Youth for Peace Forum. The theme for this year’s edition is ‘‘Young People’s Protection: An Inevitable Strategy for a Peaceful and Prosperous Society’’. This forum will bring together stakeholders working on youth, peace and security in Nigeria in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 2250.
This forum is aimed at mobilizing stakeholders and securing commitments for the implementation of UNSCR 2250 in Nigeria. Activities lined up include: expert and intergenerational dialogue, public presentation of the just-completed publication titled ‘Connecting and Amplifying Voices of Youth Building Peace in Nigeria’-a documentary of young people’s contribution to peacebuilding in Nigeria and presentation of prizes to outstanding young peacebuilders in Nigeria for 2020.
